Near-Death Experience

by Dr. Margaret Aranda

Lately, I've met several people who have shared their stories about their own Near-Death Experiences (NDE). We all seem to see a light of some kind, we all seem to have telecommunication, we all seem to have wanted to come back to earth, and it has transformed each one of us, as if we are now in a special 'club'.

It is a 'club' that no one else quite seems to understand. People listen to the story, but they don't really sit down and look deep in my eyes, or ask me questions, or even ask me to take them there with them. It's okay. I take you there in Chapter One of No More Tears: A Physician Turned Patient Inspires Recovery.

If you really want to know what it's like to die, if you really want to know what it feels like to be at the door of heaven, if you really want to feel an inkling of what heaven feels like, then you will read this book. I take you there, I make you live it with me, and I make you hear every drop of the iv that lived in me for over three years thereafter, when I woke up.

The Catholic Priest was waiting for me when I woke up, long beard and all, holding a vial of oil and making the sign of the cross on my forehead, my shoulders, and over my heart. I couldn't talk, but I wanted to scream, "You have the wrong person. I am not going to die."

And I didn't. And I'm not dead yet. And I will make a difference with every sunset that I see, because I know where I am going when I die. And I know there will be no knashing of the teeth, no fire, no moans, no torture, no grief.

There will be only peace. Where the lion lays with the lamb. And the No More Tears? It is the Way of Life, the substance of life, the knowledge that you will never, ever cry again for anything, ever. Nothing is more beautiful than that. Living with no fear. None whatsoever.

Who ever Said You Can't Accomplish Things from Bed?

by Dr. Margaret Aranda

Sitting in bed, rather lying in bed, has taught me many things. Many things that I did not like, and only two things that I embraced: prayer and writing.
So I received a phone call from a Valley News Group, asking for my photo for an article they were going to do on me. In my groggy half-awake, half-asleep state of my usual mid-day nap the traumatic brain injury makes me take, I was able to scribble down the email address the lady so kindly gave me.
And so I wouldn't forget to actually send her the photo, I emailed her right away. And we sent troops out, scouting this grocery store and that retail store for naught, because they were all sold out. Alas, it came out the next day after that, as I would not give up my search. (As usual.)
So I'm proud to bring you The Valley News Group, (page 3), to encourage and uplift you to....

There will always be those who scoff at you in silence, or who blatantly tell you that you are just dreaming. There will be those that clearly don't believe in you or your efforts, and their faces remain etched on your memory as grimaced smiles of defeat, sorry and pitiful for you in your plight.

You know what? They don't know you

They don't even know who you are.

Forgive them.

Walk away and don't count them as a friend, and instead you feel sorry for thembecause they know not what they do.

You move on.

You persevere.

You keep your focus.

Everything else is a distraction.

PERSEVERE. Keep your eyes on your goal. I know you can do it. I didn't say it would be easy. You may have to be your one and only cheerleader. No, you always have two, because I am always behind you.

Be it.

Do it.

Never give up.

Thank you to my children, and to my Face Book and You Tube Friends, who kept my candle lit when it was but a little flicker.

Spirited Women Bring their Spirits to You

by Dr. Margaret Aranda

Have you ever felt so alone in the world, so alone that you just wanted to shrivel up and die? Your eyes cry tears that fall to the side, drip by drip, and no one is there to hear their silent wales.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, it is time for a change. Because we all have been there. We all have had 10,000 reasons to want to shrivel up and die. But we didn't. We persisted. We persevered. We took it one more minute at a time, and we chose to hope. To have faith in the future, to believe that tomorrow wasn't going to be like today, and that bit by bit, we were going to be our own change.

I chose God to help me. After all, I went to the door of Heaven and he promised me that if I came back to earth, I would live to see my daughter grow up. Others choose meditation, yoga, or walks in the woods.

No matter who you are, no matter where you are, you have your own story. And so do I. And so do 75 other Spirited Women that Nancy Mills picked for her 2014 Spirited Women Directory, completely FREE for you. To inspire, to re-create, to motivate, to re-shape, and to remold yourself. Most of all, to give you hope. Here it is. Enjoy. Savor. Become one. You are one. Reach your fullest potential. You can do it. I know you can. Because if I can do it, you can do it. So go. Start your new life.
Today is a good day.
P.S. Yes, that's me on the bottom right; check out The Spirited Woman Directory 2014
You can see me as Cover Girl, pg 23, 24, 35, and 123 also!

New Website for Little Missy Two-Shoes

by Dr. Margaret Aranda

Tate Publishing was kind enough to design a user-friendly and colorful site for adults and children alike. Little Missy's specialty is getting children to like things that they usually don't like, like bugs or going to school.

What do you want her next book to be about? We are creating a series and having a blast getting out children and pre-schoolers to learn that sometimes a thing that looks bad, well, it really isn't bad at all!

So join us and let us know what you think! Or, better yet, invite your child or grandchild to take a look and let us know how they like Little Missy! Is she brave, or is she just like them? Does she give them courage? Join us at http://drmargaretaranda.tateauthor.com/author-bio/ and look at some happiness, color, and engage in this world of getting used to new things and creepy crawlers and getting shipped off to school.

Handled the right way, you child will chuckle with glee at this new-found world, and will be peering under the bushes looking for bugs, and counting the days before going back to school!
